THE LIGHT OF GOD IS NOT A METAPHOR

The expression - "seeing the light" - has become, over the ages, merely a metaphor for common comprehension. But originally, imo, the expression would have referred to the 'Light of God', the personal experience of which brings real/genuine SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING and KNOWLEDGE (Gnosis).

This 'LIGHT of God' is most definitely NOT a metaphorical expression - it is a very REAL VISIONARY EXPERIENCE!

It has been called the 'Beatific Vision' or the 'Vision of the Shekhinah' by various Mystics who have obviously experienced it. Moses described it as a 'burning bush' which was never consumed (i.e. being Eternal), and Jesus offered to reveal it to those who came to Him in complete sincerity by His Mystic 'Fire' Baptism/Initiation.

Such experience is available today, as it always has been, through initiation by a genuine Spiritual Master.

This is the true message of all genuine scripture - SEEK until you find!

I have the pleasure of experiencing the 'Light of God' and I have not been the same sense.

At no other time have I had the sense of Peace, Love & 'Knowingness' that I felt then and every time since.

When I experienced seeing a true 'inner being' for the first time, I understood why we are truely 'Part of God'.

Yes, it is the highest and most incredible, magnificent, and fulfilling experience - totally indescribable. It brings complete and utter Peace and Love beyond all comprehension.

After 6 months of trying to figure out what it was that I experienced I finally have come to a place where others have experienced somethings similar.

No amount of words will ever be able to explain the experience, the feeling of being fully in my place, that everything is the is the way it is, that I'm alive, fully alive, set completely free from everything, and held ever closer to the still beating heart of God itself. It was like a whitewash of my mind, it lasted for a few seconds of eternity.

Thank you for posting this thread. Really thank you very much. It's sort of the plain as day words that I was looking for to tell me that I'm not the only one.

I did and was rewarded but while --in the spirit--what I saw even while communicating with the Godhead or cosmic consciousness was not light or darkness but rather a dark grey. In the spirit today would translate into telepathy. The mind cannot see color. It can only imagine it.

To see in the conventional sense while in this state would need to exceed the laws of physics and nature. Man nor God can do so.
