THE HIDDEN LIGHT

Inside all of us shines a great and beautiful light, greater than any star in the heavens. It shines day and night, eternally. But, just like an unattended electric light bulb in a dusty and dirty environment, which has been left for so many years without being cleaned, the light just cannot penetrate through the layers of dirt. Our mind contains the layers of dirt and illusion which hide or 'veil' the Light within us.

Long ago, engineers came up with a solution for cleaning rally-car headlamps ~ 'washer-wipers'. Simple idea - but it works just fine.

God came up with a solution for cleansing our minds too. Also a very simple soluion, which works perfectly. It's called meditation.

Just a theory to throw out there(perhaps this is a good topic to post it?).
In the Bible it says the wages of sin is death. By death perhaps they mean unconsciousness. Also, it seems most sin comes about from unconscious habit. Resisting sin allows for higher consciousness. So maybe, different sins for different "levels" of consciousness.Allowing oneself to be"unconscious" and not aware is sin, then, right? Purifying and cleansing(through meditation/mindfulnes/ and Conscious Love) helps one to let the Light of God shine unhindered. But is it really even possible to block the light of God? or is this just an egotistical delusion. I might elaborate more on this later and in a more logical form. Sorry for the sporadic thoughts.

I think that the "light" - who we really are, our essence, is blocked by what we create out of our own ignorance of not being able to comprehend who/what we are or what that light is.
Our own identity with insane things that belong to secular illusion of everyday animal-mechanical life completely blind us to who we are and truth that is right in front of us.

no need to develop anything?

I have the definite understanding that "the light" needs to be developed. Or to approach it from another angle: we must develop our capacity for being "filled with the light".
Something which in my experience is a lot of work...

The light exists in all, no doubt. I don't think it is the light that you try to develop, but our conscious connection to it. Kinda like tuning in a radio station, we can all tune it in but tryin to get it without the static is the trick... I guess meditation would get the 'fuzz' out of your reception....
I have seen this light, coming from the eyes and nostrils and kinda in a veiled form radiating from the body ewhen I had the experience I had with the cat on my lap... Tho it was a spontaneous event, and it came from the cat, too (and the plant, and the sunshine...) I call this the epinoia, it exists in all forms of life...

DC that is Righteous (remembered cool statement), I read that and instantly connected with it.
There are so many of us that like to think our reception is so close and in most cases is, while talking or teaching or telling to others within a vast array of contexts, being also filled at the same moment to help achieve an enlightening outcome for ourselves and others, which often is the reason we started. Thus... nip-so Fact-to.

As I even write hear now, I was planning intially just to discuss diferant processes associated with Raising oneself into a Loving or divine state of consousness.. You know getting out of the Fuzz.

But the Bigger thing here that even promoted me write was not the fact that sharing thoughts was helping lift my own and others perception within His logos, as I know now pretty much does that always in different degrees, but actually finding laughter connected to a deep theological consept such as Meditation, which very seldom go hand in Hand, But in your statement was simply and freely given, without a fear of transmission in any way, which was felt having more divine Love as being not just non threatening , but even an invited welcome.
Courage in laughter I think is over looked in so many dealings of life and moments, because one needs to get up off the bench so to speek to perform them for the greatest effect.
Sort of like performing without a net, Making the choice with faith that there are some are going to feel the same joy, and doing them for that reason also. But I feel you would agree as I do that the biggest reason for instilling laughter in things is simply one feels like it, and is within Your being too.

So without draging out laughter any furthure LOL

We all have the light within. Meditation helps us to remove conscious thought out of the way to link with that inner light. As we forge a connection to the inner light we are forging our link with God for we are part of Mother and Father through the light that is within us. In like manner as we become familiar with the light in us we see that Mother and Father are part of us through that same light. We are able to understand the oneness that exists, our continual bond with the Divine. red

i am thinking along the lines with Red, i think that we put forth a self righteous/conscious effort sometimes to let "our" light shine , what we do is actually "eclipse" the light with our self. The light needs absolutely no assistance from me, IT is my job to let it shine. this means to me, keep all obstacles out of its way ,so it is not blocked or shadowed, by any debris or baggage of self. As bob put it this is thru deep meditation DAILY and prayer..I truly find that i must , i need to pray every day,i do pray thru out the day , but that dedication of time set apart ,giving the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY 100% of my,time ,my thoughts my feelings /emotions and my body . music is usually apart of this time , Music is truly a wonderful vehicle for me during prayer it helps to stir the above ,motivating me.i also like to involve Aroma in this time , it helps to give as many aspects of my being a "part" in woship,prayer and meditation. i believe prayer and meditation are 2 different aspects of this special time , the sense of smell to me is a significant part of this time , as this is the only thing that utilises our wonderful
limbic system and in turn touches each part of our body.
