Post "views" are a little misleading...

There is a number that represents the number of people who have looked at or viewed one's post. Well, I've discovered that whenever I view my own posts this number goes up. It's a little misleading. I like to read and reread and edit my posts--in fact perhaps as many as 40% of the number of views are a direct consequence of my own viewing. Is there some way that the number of views can be made to exclude one's own viewing?

Thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately there seems to be nothing I can do about it. You will just have to deduct the approximate number of times you personally look at a thread to estimate how many other people have viewed it. Sorry.

Actually, I am on quite a few forums, both spiritual and 'horsey' ones, and they all do that.

I don't think it is set up to distinquish between the one who posted and the ones who haven't.
