THE HIDDEN TREASURE
Here is a story (parable) that I heard many years ago.
There was once a wealthy and well known diamond dealer who had to make a long train journey to deliver a very rare and valuable diamond to a client. When he arrived at the train station he found that there was only one sleeping compartment available, and that he would have to share it with someone. As there was no alternative he agreed, and bought the ticket. Upon entering his compartment he saw that the other man was a very dubious looking character (he was, in fact, a thief). The thief recognized the diamond dealer straight away from photographs he had seen in newspapers, and he guessed that he was making another delivery of diamonds, but he did not let-on!
During the journey, the stranger said he was going to the dinning carriage for dinner, and invited the diamond dealer to accompany him. The dealer said that he was first going to write a short letter, and then he would join him for dinner. After the thief left the compartment the dealer immediately hid the diamond for safety. He then went to join the thief in the dinning car.
While they were eating their meal, the thief excused himself to go to the bathroom; but instead, quickly returned to their sleeping compartment to search for the loot. He searched high and low everywhere very carefully, but did not discover anything of value, so he returned to finish his dinner.
The next morning when the train arrived at its destination, and as the two men were saying goodbye, the dealer showed the thief the diamond that he was carrying. The thief then made a confession and told the diamond dealer what he had done the previous evening. He said that he had searched high and low everywhere but did not discover the diamond.
May I ask where you hid it? asked the thief apologetically.
Why, under YOUR bed pillow, replied the diamond dealer with a smile.
The meaning of this story is that we have the most precious gift a priceless jewel from God hidden deep inside each of us. But where do we seek for it? We look everywhere BUT within UNDER OUR OWN PILLOW!

Re: THE HIDDEN TREASURE
we all search thinking we need something we do not have.
or when you cannot find your glasses ,you look every where,in the car,the bathroom by the bed at the desk
and you find them an hour later ........on top of your OWN head.
Col. 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory
