Tests

Post by Apakhana on Tue Feb 19, 2008 5:23 am

When we recieve obvious tests on our probationary or initiative gnostic path, and we recognize these tests for what they are, doesn't this seem to negate the purpose of them?

How can one be tested correctly if one is aware it is a test?
Or is that the idea? To become aware?

What do you think everyone?

I think our whole life is a kind of test. When one can act 'correctly' (i.e. Lovingly/Godly) in a completely 'natural' way (i.e. without seeing it as a 'test' - simply as the way one IS), then, maybe, we pass the test.

Becoming aware of a test means you are utilizing consciousness, which means that you are not in your regular mechanical stupors where you are unconscious reactive being to stimulus, but that you have the potential to make prior judgments and come to understand the situation and apply what you know accordingly. To me being conscious of a test is what you want, the point of a test is to rate your capacity, to see if you have achieved a specific ideal of learning, to show that you have progressed. So with test, when being tested it is necessary to apply what you know and to be conscious so that you can apply in a manner that is conducive to your goal, and it will create movement for you. Test are only often not known by the students who did not make the most of what they had in hand, but became tapped in their respective past, in a fragmented manner thus robbing their attention to very system which moves in cyclic patterns, for this own growth, to measure them and give them the experience which can be utilized to rectify and outgrow the former. Consciousness is key.

and we have all eternity for 'make up' tests... I see where you are comming from, where as Bob is correct as well in stating most people do not know that they are 'testing' themselves. I am quite sure that we get very involved prior to incarnating with the other spirits who will incarnate with us to accomplish everyone's goal.. or at least that is how we would like our 'charts' to go lol... The carnal is very strong, and the forgetfullness of the 'birthing' process causes us to lose touch with all things.
