LOVE THYSELF

One of the goals of Spirituality is to love your neighbor as thyself. That means if you're doing your job right, you love yourself.

Do you? Do you appreciate who you are and what you bring to the table?
Do you feel adequate, competent, enough? If asked to make two lists, one of the things you hate about yourself, the other of the things you love about yourself, which would be longer?

There's a saying that we don't go into a temple to worship God, we go into a temple to reveal the God within us. There are so many people who downright hate themselves. Even the worst among us have so much love and joy and sweetness to reveal. All it takes is learning to accept ourselves a little more, each day.

you are so right . it is so much easier to loath disrespect,abuse,punish self; then to love who you are
the majority of my life i lived in self hate.as i worked thru that as iacccepted the love of god he showed me that alot of it was really self pity. i have come to find is that it is egotistical to hate
self , it is a form of self concious pride.

what i am valid in hating my " self" for is this active disobediance to god . thru the pain of remorse
i find that even tho it is ALWAYS wrong to disobey, god provides a lesson and a test to see how well
we haved learned what he has jst shown us. we as humans for some reason learn the best during times of suffering. and ay the end we realize how deep and wide the love if god is ,those moments
are the reason i live. i f we could always feel that here in this 3/d world, we would utterly blow up!

I would love to comment on this. I love myself.. only God do I love more than myself. I love all others as equal as myself. Now do I look down on myself? yes I do, if I were not to view my shortcommings, then how may I fix them. I am inadequate, but I love me they way I am and the way that I am going! Love ya bro!

I think it's important to note that we should love our being, not really the "self" composed of identity; but I understand your context. Very good post!

I truely agree with you on understanding of one self in this, I think everyone here is right, but in the the context of steps that need to be taken. The first is realizing that Oneself is the key Here to were Gods light for us or anyone will be found from our own point of perspective. Then the understanding of the ego self and Spiritual self and the soul that lives within the two. this can get deep for one to understand with Sliding away from simplicity and the ability of the Child to come for within us. Most think this can happen like a light switch in time that we dwell in. Without practice attaining the outcome desired with a continual learning by the Father and Christ in us this is almost virtually impossible to achieve with a snap decision. As the saying goes " I`ll worry about it when it happens"

For the prudent will see these things and act according, where the complacent will be there own poverty.

Like play basket ball but never learning how before hand..it will be a serious personal let down. with step this is truly achievable and Glorious.

Incouragement by others in Love of ourselves for the cause we walk in God, is a blessing if we can dicern the meaning quickly within for prosperity, of the all. ex; if some says Boy you know more than everyone, you are great..LOL in essence there is very little divine self love that can be gotton from that statement, but only to realize that You are making a noticeable differance in others, Your word is comming accross understandable and pleaseing.. for me this would be a start to turn up the divine with in my word more as to instill within the convesation that the Fathers knowledge should be given praise not me, for I am like you your brother, whom You can count on.

In a return like ' Ya like the Hotdogs I get this from the higher authority" while point up as there is laughter, cause Laughter makes point in time most remembered and memorable. One of Billions of ways God shows us.

Conversation is also a true art that is our Prime expression of , well God, us, and everything. I have meet many ones that can talk, but few teachers. This may be a good subject in itself to discuss... wow a suject that discusses itself LOL...

Through Grace and strength and courgage my we stand upright in our word.

wow so right on every one .the being ,it consists i believe in trinity and the intended goal of being one with in that. mind spirit soul, peace is acheived when this unity of self is achieved. first waking up not only from self deceiving perception but also what we think the world sees us as this takes having ego stripped bare naked usually thru suffering and ego death we find out what we really are we see that without god we are decay.we then accept gods divine grace and his pure love its intense like being wooed by a lover he takes you to green pastures
and gives you rest and time to reflect by the still waters. your fractured being is being made whole again and you come to find the love of god who loves you from your very own inner chambers out . inner peace is achieved because you have experianced in a way tha t overcomes the enemy of your soul

Hi Bob, I truly agree also and would be glad to start one, trying to fathom where to start.. LOL If you copy me.. Its got to be one of the most Inward, outward, light, dark, give , take, Building and to show for building in . largest areas of the Human creation that has ever been Graced apon Us for the divine reason of aiding our Spirits to journey to which end it seeks on the spectrum of Life for us and has bearing on journey`s of all.

There was a song years ago I remembered now that a stanza in it said " How can the life of such a man, be in the palm of some fools hand" In deep theology this is a true statememt. To the degree of dicernment of all gathered, and thier associated strengths and points of views within themselves. Oh ok I remember now Bob Dilan.... also "In a moment he could be the champion of the world" He difinatly had a degree of enlightenment in Him, which I think many 60/70 singers did,,, along with candy of course ...LOL I see it as an era of the most musical Positivity, and selfseeking eposodes to many points on the Spiritual spectrum in oneness of all rather than just one, like mostly now.

ok Let me strighten my course here, into keeping perspective in the sharing of the Word of His children. Growing up as a child I was very Meek, like the one always in the back of any discussion praying I wouldn`t have to talk, I didn`t feel worthy, and wished not to disrupt, or say the wrong thing to up set anyone. I had Great fear in this, which I let no one know. As You can see now....God the man won`t shut up...LOL joking,,,,The Spirit truely had me live that way in my early life so as now, and even before as a scoutmaster I would have compassion of those that lived and are living in silence also, and the intuition to recognize them. Gods wisdom is truly Fantastic to understand, the depth of it You allso can find that has no limit , even in the Mortal living and the why though time cycles , within Cycles.

I definitly need to work on Loving myself, it may increase when I get to know mySelf better. It seems that I beat myself up more than anyone ever could, I am getting better and forgiving myself and making conscious my actions and words, also my preconcieved notions and judgment of others, I have come a good way, but I still have those tendancies and I usually catch them before they leave the level of mere thought.

The only thing I ever have had a problem loving is humans(at first I did not know of the bad), but when I meet and hear of the good ones it helps a lot to restore my faith that we may not be a luciferic virus infesting nature that has the ability to live in harmony yet chooses not to out of ignorance.
Also I can see past the representatives that people put forth as their self (usually), as a child attempting to function in the world in the character fragments they have chosen, and see the many derivatives of the fear and love based thoughts that become words and then actions. When I do not take it personally it is clearer.

So I try to be the change I wish to see in living interaction with others, and one day I may fully love myself for it, and when, I without a doubt KNOW what I am, I may know what we are.

I like to re-Mind myself that we are not what we have made ourselves to be, We are as Good Has Created Us.

I would like to think that at root we are what God created us, and I guess the personality that we obtain through the incarnation is in a way within the circumference of creation which would be of God. Yet it seems that the personality(in carnal transitory man) is closer to the circumference and the purer we get is closer to the center. The thing I really do know, is that I do not know
