A spiritual experience

During one of my 'Travels' I experienced a place that had a profound effect on me.

During Meditation, I found myself in a 'City of Light' with Columns & Spires very much like ancient Greek Architecture.
However, everything was 'lite' from within & the 'sense' of the environment was peaceful, no other word describe it.

What was most impressive was what my and all other beings bodies looked like, we were not 'physical' beings but upside down tear drop shaped beings of light, we had arms but what was even more amazing is the Energy (like Lightening) than emanated from the end of our 'arms' & the tip of our tear drop 'Point' which faced down (I hope my description makes sense) & connected with he Earth.

I have been told that this was a Golden Wisdom Temple but my experience is limited enough that I cannot tell where.
This was one of the first times I realized we are beings beyond our Physical bodies & the Worlds 'above' are both amazing & beautiful.

I have personally never experienced anything like this. My experience is only of pure Light - bright like the sun, with beautiful sounds. I do not see any beings of any kind - just an ocean of Light and un-sung music.

I am like Bob, my experince was an experience of light, pure light and noise (the most beautiful thing I had heard, but I defined it as noise at first) and feeling only peace and a curiousity, like an excitement to get there.

believeHUman, That was a truely Fascinating Discription of your Spiritual Journey You had... Being an Artist as you were talking I could picture and draw all that you said perfectly, Your discreption, to me showed Colors and everything, although outside the Golden Temple , you mentioned None.

The more I have heard , of all the differant Visions, along with my own also it is looking that , whixh is mentioned in The Apocraphon of John the Jesus, Christ,God, or the Holy Spirit and probably by all.. comes to each Soul in thier very own way of the heart that precieves it. For in John He was, appeared to him as a Man, child, old man, and then as Jesu again and said John I came to you in many ways , you donot recognize me. I am glad to see again, that Real life gives proof of all His scriptures in the living sence of the word, were time and distance has no barriers.

I agree with you, Brother Thomas, our experince is affected by our perspective and how we see things -TO A POINT. (WHy I feel gnosis is very personal and I never judge another's gnosis, just because it was not as mine, or fit some parameters I set -in ignorance).

But since the mind CAN hold us back from the union with 'God', it is important to seek the truth for what it is, not what we want it to be. We must strip ourselves of our preconceptions and ideas and 'beliefs' and step into the abyss, and when you come out the other end, you will know God COMPLETELY, know God for what God is.

I always warn those seeking a gnosis experince, 'don't go looking to validate your own preconceptions. Take the truth AS IS.'
