The Feeling of Truth

Greetings fellow seekers!
Ever since I was a child I, whenever I have realized or heard something that I knew was profoundly true, it was accompanied by what I call The Feeling of Truth. This is a physical and spiritual feeling. It usually begins with what feels like a halo of energy around my head. The energy then surges through me from head to toe. Along with this feeling are emotions of joy, awe and inspiration.
I have always felt this was my mind touching God in some way.
Has anyone else had this feeling? Has it been useful in your Gnostic Seeking?
