What are everyone's hobbies (besides channeling the Love and Light at every chance)?
I am an herbalist, (and not a distrubutor, either) for starters. I harvest MOST of my own herbs, mullien and marigold would be the biggest right now. Mullien helps with the coughing thing we all get every year, and marigold is a natural astringent. I also used yellow dock for poison ivy, uva ursi to help my oldest daughter with bed-wetting (which she is over, thank goodness) and juniper berries for my non-stop pimples (the blue ones- berries, not pimples). Yellow dock is the only thing that I can't harvest myself, and I can't harvest enough of the juniper berries. I usually have to buy them too. My teacher is a medicine man from West Ghana, Sam, who has a little herbal shop in Richmond at the Giant Flea Market (all year long thing). I am afraid time may take Sam from me before much longer, and I will be most distraught on that day.
I am also a horse trainer. or to use a hokey term a horse whisperer. I rehab rescues (when I can afford it) and I do most of my own stuff, like the feet and vaccines. I also do ALL my own training, and I use GaWaNi Pony Boys methods (and no, not all roundpenners are equal.)
I also read avidly, and try to balance all this with nursing classes.

some of my hobbies include expiditions in my woods , i am a gatherer.i search for rocks all kinds i collect them. i love fossils,its amazing to find sea shell fossils and i live no where near the ocean i live on a moutian in the middle of the woods. i collect wild plants for the garden like colinbine,woodstrawberry which will get very big in there own space in the
garden.also beebalm and cone flowers, what ever i can find.it is very rocky where ilive which works for me but not so much the gardens. Fr them i had to make boxes, for flowers and herbs and some for veggoes.

i also paint scenes on my flat slate rocks in acrylic, i decopage on class and ceramic. when i do vases, i be-jewel thm using wire that suits. i also love to tye dye for a while we all had tye dye socks and underware, i guess i went alittle manic, o well the kids thought it was neat and they really enjoyed creating

Gosh, Sopherim, you and I would make some awesome neighbors! We could have some great gathering expiditions.

My favest of my rocks (I will introduce you to them sometime, when I figure out how to download pics to this thing) WAS a peice of tektite I had. It isn't a meteorite exactly, but what happens when a meteorite hits the sand and forms this wild, swiss-cheese kind of rock. I had found it on the beach at Myrtle Beach after they had scraped the beach after July 4th, early the next morning. It left me, tho, I suppose it had places to go. I have a large chunk of smoky crystal I use and love.

oh darkchylde, i know i felt a connection the first few posts of yours i read.i do so wish we lived near each other .especially as the times quicken and commune living may soon be a necessity.it amazes me to see how much we do have in common and to stumble on this site and too meet you here is pretty freakin decent.we have alot of music in common, reading in common, religious backround in common . our hobbies and pleasures ,our love and desire for light life and truth.and this may freak you out ,it did me ,from your picture on your myspace we even kinda look alike, i have dirty blond natrually curly hair, blue eyes and i am also about 5"8-5"9
i love eyeliner and i never go without it . i always thought of my self as a tuff woman that no one dared mess with, yet at the same time am very compassionate and caring , i hate to hurt people. love sopherim

Yes, I have felt you were a kindred spirit from the first time as well, and it helps me cuz there ain't many like me it seems ('specially round here) and I, too, wish (badly!) we lived closer, we would be like twins I am sure. (Just what the world needs, another smart and sexy she-wolf to deal with! ) It is too cool that we look similiar as well (perhaps one of us was the other's twin and we were seperated at birth? Aha, a conspiracy! )

But I feel so blessed to know you. You have my personal info, and I hope one day to hear from you! I have never been as far north as NY, but if I ever do I want to come by and have a face to face, and should you head down south (y'all) then you MUST let me know, and come crash at my place and we can tear this place up! HA!

damn girl this is awesome . definitely would have to meet if we ever are near.i have never left ny except to phili pa on a class trip in h.s how lame. my boyfriend is from the south i love how he talks it is so sexy .any how how is your gardens goin? we have had a lot of rain here so things are goin slow. lost some stuff to frost the second week in may to that made me really mad. but it will be okay ,i got some plants from a local and started over.soon i am getting a digital camera and i will send you some pictures on your my space ,. well talk to ya soon

I love to hike up at the preserve in back of my house and observe all that Nature offers. I rescue animals although this is not a hobby it is a gift.
