The expression - "seeing the light" - has become, over the ages, merely a metaphor for common comprehension. But originally, imo, the expression would have referred to the 'Light of God', the personal experience of which brings real/genuine SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING and KNOWLEDGE (Gnosis).

This 'LIGHT of God' is most definitely NOT a metaphorical expression - it is a very REAL VISIONARY EXPERIENCE!

It has been called the 'Beatific Vision' or the 'Vision of the Shekhinah' by various ...

The Mystic “SOUNDS” of the Spirit.

This internal audible experience of the Spirit is variously described as the “Voice of God”, or likened to the sounds of “thunder”, “rushing waters”, “wind”, “choirs of angels”, “trumpets” or other musical instruments. This experience is heard deep within the silence of our soul. Once again, we will let the ancient scriptures tell of the experience:

“There came thundering and lightning, and a cloud upon the mountain of God, and a great Voice like trumpets ...

"FIRE" BAPTISM (INITIATION)

Matthew 3:11 "I (John) baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with Fire."

What is meant here by baptizing with 'fire'?

Could it mean that Jesus actually revealed, through His own personal baptism/initiation of disciples, the visible manifestation of God - the Holy 'Fire'/'Light' of God, as described by Moses as an eternal "burning bush"?

Is it possible?

WHAT IS A TRUE GNOSTIC/MYSTIC

Mystic Gnosis should be the goal of every person.

A 'believer' has faith in the unknown - faith in doctrines - faith in a church, synagogue, mosque or temple - faith that what they believe is not only the truth, but the whole truth.

Unlike the believer, a Gnostic/Mystic is a person who has so surrendered his life to Truth and Light - and has successfully evolved beyond the level of faith and belief - and has thus received from God the ability to see and perceive beyond the natural barrier ...

(Part 1 of 2 posts)

The Spiritual “FOOD” (or “DRINK”) of God is spoken of throughout the scriptures of all the great world religions. It may seem a strange thing, but it refers to the inner Spiritual sustenance, which is revealed by all genuine Masters, and universally experienced by Mystic initiates. In the Judaeo-Christian tradition it has been called “manna”, “bread from Heaven”, “milk and honey”, “living water”, “elixir”, etc; while in the east it has been referred to as “nectar”, “ambrosia”, ...

The Bible, as all other genuine Spiritual scripture, contains many descriptions of the “LIGHT”. This 'Light of God' is also referred to symbolically as “Fire”, “Lightning”, etc; but is, in reality, an inward Mystic VISIONARY experience (viz. The “Beatific Vision” / "Vision of the Shekhinah") of the Supreme Spirit (i.e. Elohim / God). This Light may actually be SEEN (experienced) by initiated disciples of the Lord. Let us allow the scriptures to speak for themselves:

For the trained contemplatives, who are the only true experts in these matters, the wisdom of contemplation is viewed "as a direct, nonconceptual intuition that is beyond words, concepts and dualities; hence it is described as transverbal, transrational, and nondual" (Walsh, 1993, p. 223). Apparently, this knowledge is not shaped by language, concepts, cultural "forms of life", etc. because the Real transcends, surrounds, and overflows the categories of thought 1 (Radhakrishnan, ...

On or about January 15, 2008, I experienced the culmination of my

thirty-five year spiritual journey. Although I had, on previous

occasions, had phenomenal and profound spiritual experiences, this new

change was relatively subtle, and in its way, quite surprising. I

described it to my new yoga instructor after my second class: "Something

in me...is newly still."

I've written several pieces of poetry and prose describing this: a feeling

of stillness sitting right above my heart, ...

Just relax, and patiently enjoy the experience

"The Real according to Rudolf Christoph Eucken, is an independent spiritual world, unconditioned by the apparent world of sense.

To know it and to live in it is man's true destiny. His point of contact with it is personality: the inward fount of his being: his heart, not his head. Man is real, and in the deepest sense alive, in virtue of this free personal life-principle within him; but he is bound and blinded by the ties set up between his surface-intelligence and the sense-world. ...
