Think like Darwin. Are God and His works perfect?

I do not believe in the conventional God of scripture but regardless of this fact, I believe that we live in a perfect environment and evolving system.

There is biblical support for this view as well in this.

Deuteronomy 32:4

He is the Rock, his work is perfect:

Many believe that this perfection was destroyed by man in Genesis.

How perfection can make imperfect choices is beyond me but most think that Genesis was the fall of man. ...

This 'LIGHT of God' is most definitely NOT a metaphorical expression - it is a very REAL VISIONARY EXPERIENCE!

Some believe that the Father would tell Jesus that they would create humans with original sin. Then they would impregnate Mary with Himself as her child so that He could be born as human and Himself. He then would commit suicide as a sacrifice to Himself to save man from the sin that He had condemned and created man to do.

This is one view.

As a Gnostic Christian it is my duty to show how Christian scripture should be interpreted to show how God can be logically found and understood.

When He walked with Adam, He would have shown tracks and all. He could splash around in the water.

This inevitably leads to the use of God’s body parts and the parts that few speak about, you know, the more dirty parts, and functions of these parts. Teeth, lips, penis, anus and ...

What is meant here by baptizing with 'fire'?

Could it mean that Jesus actually revealed, through His own personal baptism/initiation of disciples, the visible manifestation of God - the Holy 'Fire'/'Light' of God, as described by Moses as an eternal "burning bush"?

Mystic Gnosis should be the goal of every person.

A 'believer' has faith in the unknown - faith in doctrines - faith in a church, synagogue, mosque or temple - faith that what they believe is not only the truth, but the whole truth.

Unlike the believer, a Gnostic/Mystic is a person who has so surrendered his life to Truth and Light - and has successfully evolved beyond the level of faith and belief - and has thus received from God the ability to see and perceive beyond the natural barrier ...

In a previous discussion, I stated that I do not believe in miracles. My logic for this is that if an outside force were to increase the available energy in the universe, kinetic or other type, the balance of the universe would be disturbed and the natural law of conservation would be violated. After some thought on this subject it occurred to me that there may be a way that what are perceived as miracles could happen with out this violation of natural law.

After reading some of the comments from Bob and others as to finding a spiritual master or teacher, I undertook a search. After several dead ends I have come across someone that seems to be genuine. He is a Zoroastrian and teaches meditation as part of a criminal rehabilitation program. He teaches the general public meditation for stress management, but also for enlightenment, when the student is so motivated. His wife teaches meditation for school children.

This is an interesting question to ask a Gnostic seeker. Where I am from is what I am seeking and where I expect to end up...

The disciples said to Yehosua, "Tell us, how will our end come?"

Yehosua said, "Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is.

Greetings fellow seekers!

Ever since I was a child I, whenever I have realized or heard something that I knew was profoundly true, it was accompanied by what I call The Feeling of Truth. This is a physical and spiritual feeling. It usually begins with what feels like a halo of energy around my head. The energy then surges through me from head to toe. Along with this feeling are emotions of joy, awe and inspiration.

I have always felt this was my mind touching God in some way.

Who is Christos

I'm a little hazy on the Mythology of Christos. According to the Sophia Myth:

All the Aeons together were concerned about the appearance of Chaos and so they,

with the divine Sophia, prayed in depth and a new dyad was manifested: Christos

and the Holy Spirit, his female counterpart.

In other texts I find Christos and Sophia are counterparts and emanated much earlier in the creation myth, directly from the Fore-Creator?

Can anyone shed light on this?

Thanks,

The Spiritual “FOOD” (or “DRINK”) of God is spoken of throughout the scriptures of all the great world religions. It may seem a strange thing, but it refers to the inner Spiritual sustenance, which is revealed by all genuine Masters, and universally experienced by Mystic initiates. In the Judaeo-Christian tradition it has been called “manna”, “bread from Heaven”, “milk and honey”, “living water”, “elixir”, etc; while in the east it has been referred to as “nectar”, “ambrosia”, ...

This is an explanation of the ancient Hebrew origins of Mystic Meditation, and the real reason for the prayer shawl ('tallit') worn over the head and shoulders by all orthodox Jews during prayer (i.e. meditation). This 'head covering', which is now no more than a mere tradition, was originally of vital importance, thus the origin of which should be correctly understood.

The Bible, as all other genuine Spiritual scripture, contains many descriptions of the “LIGHT”. This 'Light of God' is also referred to symbolically as “Fire”, “Lightning”, etc; but is, in reality, an inward Mystic VISIONARY experience (viz. The “Beatific Vision” / "Vision of the Shekhinah") of the Supreme Spirit (i.e. Elohim / God). This Light may actually be SEEN (experienced) by initiated disciples of the Lord. The Appearance of Moses in Every Generation

The Zohar teaches that Moses, our Teacher, "appears" in each and every generation. In each generation there is one unique individual who is the embodiment of Moses, our Teacher, in that generation. The spirit of Moses emanates to all the wise men of the generation, and subsequently from them to all those living at the time, illuminating Jewish ...

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness" (His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama.) I also heard Guru Maharaji speak, in person, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, about 20 some odd years ago. "If you took all of the bad in this universe, it would not even fill the head of a pin, compared to the good that fills the planet Earth." To me, one smile, can ...

WE CANNOT "KNOW" A HISTORIC MASTER

All religionists seem to think that books (Holy Scriptures) and studies are sufficient to know and follow God.

They truly seem to think that one can KNOW their particular historical Master (e.g. Yehoshua, Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, etc.) through reading?

Well, this is just the PROBLEM ~ you can NEVER KNOW someone fully (or even at all) through books. All you can know is: 'OF' THEM! AND knowing 'of' God is not the same as KNOWING GOD ~ nor is it sufficient!

For the trained contemplatives, who are the only true experts in these matters, the wisdom of contemplation is viewed "as a direct, nonconceptual intuition that is beyond words, concepts and dualities; hence it is described as transverbal, transrational, and nondual" (Walsh, 1993, p. 223). Apparently, this knowledge is not shaped by language, concepts, cultural "forms of life", etc. because the Real transcends, surrounds, and overflows the categories of thought 1 (Radhakrishnan, ...
