Re: CHRISTIAN MYTHS & LEGENDS
Oh boy......you posted this on a Christian website you would start WWIII.........they think very highly of themselves.
Re: CHRISTIAN MYTHS & LEGENDS
I am quite sure that the Christians (or some other relgionists, like the Muslims) WILL start a REAL WWIII, and it will be precisely cuz they CAN'T 'hear' the wisdom of such....
I wonder if doing so would only be throwing pearls before swine, they don't understand and only attack you (and BOY is that what happens, too!!!)

Interesting site!!!!
Joseph of Aramethea may certainly have played a vital role in the Post Crucifixion scenario. He was most likely a very learned "Magus" with special medical skills.
I do believe that the spear thrust only reinforces the truth. Dead bodies do not bleed! Another issue to consider is the Place of Skulls. The Crucification was not only carried out on the Sabbath...Jews would not have ventured out to witness it let alone trread upon the "unclean" ground of the place of skulls where carcasses and foul things were discarded. It would have been unthinkable on any other day...but on the Sabbath is would never have occurred!!!! Therefore, witnesses to the crucifiction were most likely only the followers and specifically the women in Christ's life, including the Magi. Joseph of Aramthea was most certainly there!
If the supposition that Jesus was given something to place him in a coma via the sponge...vinegar and gall, I believe...(gall being serpent venom) then he would indeed appear dead. If we consider the fact that the tomb had two entrances, and that secretly Joseph could have entered with the Aloe mentioned in the traditional gospels, a purgative could have been admiinistered.
In any case, the issue runs deeper. If Jesus as a man, was resurrected by the ministrations of other men, he still was literally raised from the dead. What we really need to understand is the folly of the orthodox antichristians who followed the teachings of Paul and Peter. In the former case, Paul usurped the idea of Apostolic tradition(he was never an Apostle). Peter was a dedicated woman hater, who found serious problems with Mary Magdalene.(Nag Hammadi Library---Gospel of Mary). This holy woman becomes relegated to obscurity and remembered as a sinner and a whore by subsequent catholic church designation(Roman church).
I believe that Jesus, did continue his ministry into Asia and most likely gave up his physical garment in India. The Sanhedrin affiliated disciples then went on to organize the orthodox aspect of Christianity, based on the idea that Christ as the son of God, is God, whereas the Gnostics and Nazarines followed the tradition of His teachings and the discovery of the pathway to true salvation. In the truth of it, He did say, I am the Way!

Yep, true Christian Fundamentalist is killing us all.....be careful of blind faith its a killer..........

Re: CHRISTIAN MYTHS & LEGENDS
As far as enlightenment is concerned, one is probably better off not getting bogged-down with religious bean-counting or arguments about historicity. And instead, assign ALL of history as "myth and legend." And start getting into the meat-and-potatoes, hidden, secret, underlying, deeper-meaning of Bible stories.
Not to disparage bean-counters... We need bean-counters to help us make sense of things.

And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

Re: CHRISTIAN MYTHS & LEGENDS
Religious bean counting happens everyday......yep every religion thinks its the one true one especially Christianity it thinks its the saint of all religions and does no wrong......most that claim to be Christians cannot even walk in step with God........
