How to put pictures in your posts
Here's some basic info on how to post pictures in the forum using SERVIMG.
SERVIMG is a service for hosting pictures that can be displayed in Forums, Blogs, etc. on the web. They're (I guess) partners with Forumotion.
Setting up the SERVIMG - image server:
The forum's message editor has capability to upload pictures right from inside the editor (using the
button)
The very first time you upload using that interface a new account is created on SERVIMG and your email-address and forum-password are both automatically passed from Forumotion's system to SERVIMG's system.
(In the past it used to ask you if that was ok, but it doesn't seem to bother to ask you that anymore)
It may become a problem if you have joined several Forumotion boards (using the same email address) and you want to use separate SERVIMG accounts for each forum.
For example, if you have joined say five-different Forumotion boards using the same email address -- then when you upload pics through the board's editor -- the pics are all going to be uploaded to the same SERVIMG account.
If you want to use a different email address for your SERVIMG account then don't upload from inside the forum's message editor! Instead go directly to SERVIMG webpage and create a new account or log in (using your alternate email address.)

Hosting pictures on SERVIMG:
It's pretty straightforward uploading a picture to the image server.
Once your image has uploaded successfully then you are presented with a list of links.
Most of those links are for thumbnails. The link on the bottom (the direct link) is the one I usually use.
You can highlight the link and copy it, or just press the copy button underneath the link.
Then go back to the forum.
Methods for posting a picture (hosted on the web) inside the forum:
Simple method:
Start a new message like you normally would.
Click the image button
Paste the link into the dialogue and click ok.
That's it.
Advanced method:
The advanced method is to use tags to put your picture in.
In order to use tags you have to switch the editor mode.
Use this button to switch the editor mode
(you can switch back and forth and it won't mess your message up)
The tags to put the image in are:
[img][/img]
(a quick way to put the tags in is to: click the image button
and click ok without entering the link info -- that will put the tags in your message right where your cursor is)
Then just paste the image link between the tags.

Then switch the editor mode back

To be a rock and not to roll.
