Hey,GW. I love you to brother! Thank you for the link. I listened to his interpretation of 1 John 4:2. He is on the money. Erchomai is only used in present and or imperfect tense (i.e. not perfect/incomplete). So the orthodox interpretation is out of context because they make the term past perfect (i.e. perfect/complete) by limiting the Christ solely to the personage known as Jesus. This is an excellent point to be made against those who love to continually use this scripture against gnostics. GW, thank you for sharing this with the board!

Yes, Chuk, I agree. Jesus/Yehoshua was definitely NOT the only Messiah to walk this Earth.

As I'm reading what you typed, I wonder if anyone on this site does? How different would that be from what one would find on CARM or anyother orthodox site? LOL.. Good seeing you again, Bob.

Hi GW

The guy on this video does not seem to believe that Yehoshua/Jesus was ever a real historical figure - i.e. a human being! Do you believe that?

How many here believe the same?

PLU ~ Bob Very Happy

Hi Bob,
I do believe that Yeshua was a human being. I think I have stated my view that he was the 'greatest' master that has set foot upon this earth... The essense that was in him was 100% pure! He was the one who came and caused the 'evil' disincarnates to loose power. It took me a while to understand in my own way.. but since he was upon this earth, ignorance became less prevelant. I am not sure why but my core being knows that Jesus came to the earth with the highest authority, but also with the greatest humility. But there are just too many 'stories' out there to identify exactly what Jesus did whilst here on earth. I also believe that he is not the only master as well... but because of the diversity of mankind, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Meaning that we will learn together, some people will learn from some and some from others. It is the beauty of the unity of the spirits!
Peace and Harmony Bob,
it is good to be back on the forums!!!

hello , well i finally watched that clip, as bob said he does not seem to believe jesus was a real historical living person
i personally cannot agree with that opinion.he does not seem to back himself up with much more then insinuation.as i see it there is loads more factual proof that he in fact did exist.
about the CHRISTOLOGY OF CHRIST, my pastor and i had a heated exchange about 2 years ago, i made the same comment during a bible study, and it made him mad bounce hopping mad. that lead to about a year of meetings before wed nite prayer meetings to discuss what he called screwed up christology. needless to say .he realized it was his christology gone wrong not mine, and he did a whole sermon series about it. he knows i call myself a gnostic ,and as i have said here before
he is really growing.i also have invited him here,to my knowledge he has not accepted the invite i hope someday he will stop in............
