DO ANGELS FLY? OR USE STAIRS?

Some gnostics think angels are under the dominion of the false god of this world, Samael.

About the afterlife, anyone ever read the Tibetan Book of the Dead? The afterlife state described there, if recognized, is pretty much the same as the life we lead now, and the Way to escape the karmic matrix is described very well. Try reading this book, but keep in mind, the afterlife state described is basically the same as this life.

That is very esoteric and allegorical. What's sad is that no one understands what Clear Light mind is.

Let's not forget that the word (ANGEL) simply means MESSENGER (in Greek). Everything else which has become attached to the term is merely man's theorizing and beliefs. God will obviously send an inspired (i.e. Enlightened) 'human' teacher to instruct human beings in His Way ~ THESE HUMAN TEACHERS/MESSENGERS are angels! They are just like you and me. So be careful how you treat others - they might well be angels of God.

When we meditate, photons respond to the electrons in the brain via the pineal, which is a light receptor and transducer. It worksjust the same as fiber optics..light carrying data/message that is received and decoded by a transducer/multiplexer. It is truly marvelous! Our carnal eyes need daylight to see, but our spiritual eye needs darkness (carnal eyes closed) to see "the" light. If orthodox adherents knew this, perhaps they would stop closing their eyes when they pray? LOL Or for that matter, sleep with their eyes open!

That's very interesting, and all very true in scientific terminology (i.e. photons = angels), but I wonder if the ancient Greeks would have really known and understood about such science when they first introduced the term 'angel'?

As I understand things, God has always revealed His message to human beings, and it is these human messengers who reveal God's LIGHT, and are His real Angels. Indeed, there have been so many throughout history and throughout the whole world ~ from East to West. They may be called by a variety of terms in the various languages of Earth, but in effect they are all truly Angels of God.

Wouldn't you agree?

Hello, Ben. I believe that they did know. They knew that God is light. And their belief in reincarnation and definition of the logos tells me that they knew of the science of the soul. So, I don't think its much of a stretch to believe that they believed that illumination (revelation by way of light).

I agree that humans can be messengers of light. I would put the emphasis of the messenger aspect on the higher self, the light with in all men.
