An unspoken

There is question that everyone these days ponders in thier souls I imagine all over globe, due to the times we live in now. It is virtually never discussed in openness, but only from a one sided veil of many thicknesses.
In Trith our Spirits know the Answer, wheather we be Gnostics, Traditional-Christian or any other degree of belief System Mankind Has. Most answers are like the parable of Peter Denying Christ before the cock that crows , to save ones self from Persacution.
Without anything furthure said I am wondering what others views are here in this forum.
After watching a Presentation of war in Iraq or realy any war to wear it shows in sadness the lives that wear lost in Protecting our great Country, with a tremendous visual of Patriotism and the like, You are ask would You sign your name to a Heart felt letter to tell those that are there, that we are fully in agreement to what you are doing?

If it was not for common fighting men being prepared to risk their lives, no dictator, religious fanatic, or 'legitimate' state could engage in war or terrorism. If people endorse physical force by serving in the military or other terrorist groups, then they must understand the consequences. War never brings peace - surely five thousand years of history proves this fact clearly enough.

No, I would not sign a letter thanking soldiers for protecting me, or agreeing with what they do; and I would refuse point blank to serve in the military (I'd prefer to go to jail).

Mark Twain wrote about the Mysterious Stranger in "A Pen Warmed-UP in Hell". The whole of it is a treatise on orthodoxy and a rather scathing but true look at patriotism. Supposedly the Mysterious Stanger is an Angel come to church to answer the prayers of the "faithful". You might want to read it!

Supporting our troops is not really the issue. Once they are in harms way the powers of the real world come into play and hatred being what it is, death and destruction follow. There is no right or wrong here. It is a bad scene, in a bad place, with evil fighting evil, despite the intent of either side. Death and destruction and blood feud vengeance are simply that!

Andy would go to jail...but that is in this country. In another he might be shot or worse. In any event, infusing a broken vessel with new liquid will not keep it full, it will only drain the resevoir.

But would I sign the letter? Yes, absolutely! If a person believes in what he/she is doing is right, then there is always hope. There is something else which grits me deeply: the Bible itself is rife with the smiting of enemies and when the sword is weilded in the name of God it is righteous! Now we only have to figure out why a God would wreak vengeance and its attendant havoc upon his creations and why He would want to utterly destroy them by using surrogates?

Just my thoughts.

Here is a true story; I myself was on the USS Nautilus (Submarine) nuclear power degree and all. During the Draft as it was, getting out of it was hard, so I inlisted with a prayer not just to keep me out of the fire, but I wish not to hurt no man. God answered all this and allowed me to learn the world and its percarious ways it mortally justified as Noble. 90% of any serviceman would not feel that it was noble at all, its just a way to compromise ones own Conscious so you won`t have to deal with your own shame in your actions. Suicide rates are off the chats for military people.
Anyway My nephew was on a bad road at home, like many in the drug scene now, He has always listen to me through the years, and saw my gain of self and knowledge I recieved in the Navy as a positive, to learn also. I should told him better to stay clear of the Fire. No He got sucked into to special forces, Afganistan, Iraq and Iran also, were He took lives of innocent. on orders, and had his Buddies die in his arms. I was the only one he could tell this to,who could possibly understand, everyone else was to busy waveing flags saying good for you and putting ribbons on their cars. He says Uncle Tom its like their telling me personally good for you for Sinning against God. I had quite a quest to find the words within the Father to help this Child. I told him how he can get it to stop, in a service political way through his counceler, and that all sin is forgivin for those that are true in the Father without play acting and or back slideing from This covenant with Him. He cried to me in that, I said seeing what was now needed to make things straight in his life. He returned that Monday, with everyone still cheering for him.
Now the Story gets deeper; 5 to 6 months go by and He again returns Home on leave. We found ourselves standing outside having a smoke, my brother in law and Brother wearing all their patriotic hats and talks of Guns and ego feeding into Patricts experiances again, with him having no mention of the talk we had, He did nothing to change. I started quoting some things in general of the Scriptures hoping to and giving respect for thier own Spirits to comment of the light words I spoke of. When the group felt this was an opposite discussion of the Machoism displayed,
Patrick Himself lashed out saying then what should I do now, in a bit of fighting fire with fire from his point of view, and I was amazed from before My words to him was from his asking not mine. Now it seems as the seed fallen in the thorns all has been forgotten.
They all turned to me an waited for a response, I knew not what to say for the benifit of all that has happen with Gods Light, so I raise my finger and said I must check on some first, wait here. I went to my car as if to get some thing from it, which was only to Meditate with each step I had tell I had to return at this such crucial moment in time with an answer only the Spirit could Do in me.
I returned and they were joking waiting and said so what shall He do then. I told them all of what the spirit related to me to say; which was To you Pete my brother I have shared with you the words of God in great knowledge of his intent on this world. To you Bob my B-in -Law I repeated the words of Hurting no man and excusing none falsely which is from the very Bible you Believe you say is 100% fact.
and to you my God son that cried to me last time knowing of the right and wrong in to the same thing you ask again of me now. This my answer to you is from the Father in the next level in understanding from what you know already. He tells me to tell you to STOP KILLING MY CHILDREN , the end.
I was myself was amaze at what the Spirit did through me My friends, but it was the only words of conscience total agreemnet of all who were present at the point of the now, with respect for what has been known prior and ask for, in His wisdom. He is truely just and no man is Nieve enough not to understand it just Veiled in complacenness and vanity.

So as I have told others when you see the banner of Patriotism for war raise its seductive head, remeber the story in the Bible wear Peter denies Christ 3 times before the cock crows.

Eze:3:17: Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Eze:3:18: When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Eze:3:19: Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Eze:3:20: Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Eze:3:21: Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.



These text from the old testament are truly interesting indeed. They seem to have a flare of Gnostics within them.

I would say most people join the military for ulterior motives and say they are "serving our country" to make it seem righteous. But soldiers are essentially mercenaries, b/c alomst no-one in their right mind would be willing to commit such atrocities as commited by the military w/o getting something for themselves. Not to say that the military does no good, though. Funny story. There's an acquaintance of mine who's really kinda "masochistic", y'know wanting to nuke the Middle east and such, acts kinda racist and mean and such. Could just be a mask, though, who knows? Well, this kid signed up for the army recently, probably so he could kill some Arabs and whatever. Guess where he's stationed and what he's doing? he's in Ethiopia bulding schools for the children, there!!!! Talk about ironic, huh? Shoot, if I could be sure that I'd be doing such righteous work as that, I'd join the military. Of course, that may imply my ulterior motives for future comfort, considering what the military gets paid, and all.

I would not sign the petition, for I don't rellysupport our country. There are much too many selfish motives involved in this war and most likely all wars our nation has been in and perhaps all war and violence in general.

It is said by Jesus Christ, "Resist not evil" Very wise words, indeed. And to do so(whether by an individual, community or nation) would mean one has transcended selfishness and egoic mindsets.
